Dr. Herrst graduated with her Doctor of Chiropractic degree cum laude from Western States Chiropractic College in 2007 and has a BA in English and Biology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She practiced in Portland, OR from 2008 to 2019, and has been practicing in Grand Ledge, MI since 2020.
She is an Mayan Abdominal Therapy Advanced Practice Therapist , a certified Webster Technique practitioner, and is trained in Graston Technique , Holistic Pelvic Care™ pelvic floor rehabilitation and techniques from the Institute for Birth Healing. She also incorporates EFT/Tapping, auriculotherapy and physical therapy modalities into her practice, offering patients a full menu of services to achieve their goals.
She is a publicly elected member of the Grand Ledge Area District Library Board of Directors, serving as the acting Vice President, is the board treasurer for the Delta Center Elementary PTO, serves on the board for Eaton Community Health, and is also a current member of the Michigan Association of Chiropractors, , the Weston A Price Foundation, the National Association of Career Women Lansing Chapter. and is a past board member of the Oregon Chiropractic Association.
Dr. Herrst has a special passion for working with women and their families to help them achieve optimal health. While providing primary care chiropractic services to all patients, she has a specialty in women’s health, including prenatal care, post-partum recovery and pelvic floor rehabilitation. Dr. Herrst also has specialized training in auriculotherapy, homeopathy, lactation, diastasis recti treatment, nutrition, whole food supplementation, intermittent fasting and stress-relief techniques . Dr. Herrst also has a background in sports medicine, having served as a staff clinician at Oregon Ballet Theater for many seasons. Her motto is, “Doctor first, specialties second,” making sure that all aspects of your health are taken into consideration, not just your joints.
Dr. Herrst is originally from Charlotte, MI. She and her family lived in the Pacific Northwest for many years after her graduation from chiropractic school and relocated to mid-Michigan in 2019 to be closer to family. She is a gardener of organic veggies, loves Seattle Mariners baseball and University of Michigan football and reads several great books a week. Dr. Herrst has been married to her husband Ryan, a marketing executive for Media Ace Marketing and per diem nurse, for over twenty years and she is a proud mom to two happy kids. She enjoys being active in the great outdoors with her family, where you can find them on local trails enjoying Eaton County’s natural wonders.
